What cookies are

Our approach

The download, presentation and editing cookies are protected: they are signed, sent only over encrypted connections and cannot be read by scripts on the page.
Cookies set by others
Our hosting and security provider may set a cookie to tell people from automated traffic and protect the site from attacks. It is used only for security and does not identify you.
Links to our LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X profiles are plain links. Those networks set their own cookies only if you follow a link to their site; their own cookie policies apply there.
Why we do not ask for consent
Privacy laws in South Africa (POPIA), the United Kingdom and the European Union allow cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you request, or that remember your choices, without asking first. These are the only cookies we use, so we show a short notice rather than a consent form.
If we ever add optional cookies, such as analytics, we will ask for your permission before setting them, and you will be able to refuse them as easily as accept them.
